Occasionally feeling excluded from the close mother-child relationship after the birth of his son, neunplus member Fred Hüning decided to capture the intimacy between son and girlfriend in pictures. The project “New Life” began in 2007 and is planned to be completed on the day the boy starts school. For his exhibition at FENSTER61 the artist specifically selected photographs that were taken in his Prenzlauer Berg flat, making it a continuation of his series “8 sq. m.”, which was also showcased at FENSTER61 in early 2007 and was “set” entirely in a flat in Schöneberg.

The exhibition is on display at FENSTER61 from Aug. 17th to Septermber 23th, 2010.

FENSTER61 (“WINDOW61”) uses an approx. 2 by 2 meter shop window in the very busy Torstraße, near subway Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin Mitte. It ist run by neunplus member Christian Reister. Since 2005 photographers are presented in monthly changing exhibitions with works that more or less deal with Berlin. FENSTER61 is not a gallery. FENSTER61 doesn’t have opening hours, since the visitor is in a public space. The window is lit at night. www.fenster61.de
